"Be Like Bob" Scholarship

Your support and contributions will goes towards supporting seniors of West Bloomfield High School who are attending an in-state college education. These seniors have been awarded this scholarship due to their community involvement, career goals and accomplishments. 

This scholarship is in memory of Robert “Bob” Mellen, who was an active and longtime member of the West Bloomfield Optimist Club. Mr. Mellen was a founding partner in the accounting firm of Mellen, Smith & Pivoz. 

 A dedicated member of WB Optimists since 1982, he lived its mission by his positive attitude, kind heart and generosity to others. Bob was a strong believer in public and higher education. He felt public education is the foundation of our democracy and the character of our youth determines the strength of our future. 

This scholarship is given in his memory.
