Scholarships & Stipends

The winner of our annual Essay Contest receives a $300 "Honor" scholarship, awarded at the Greater West Bloomfield Michigan Week Awards Breakfast. Club winners advance to the District contest to compete for a $2,500 college scholarship. The District-level scholarships are funded by the Optimist International Foundations.  

The West Bloomfield Optimist Club supports youth program initiatives on an as-needed basis. Past examples include the West Bloomfield STEAM Club, Abott Middle School Theatre Program, field trips to the DIA and First Responder Appreciation.
